Welcome to the Childs (and Williams) Family Website! Check out the site for family pictures, reunion updates, announcements and family event details as well as general family information.
This site contains helpful information about upcoming reunion events, local information on the reunion city, information on travel and accomodations and much much more. It also contains information to keep the family updated through good times (births and graduations) and bad times (deaths).

As for the 2006 Corning reunion, thanks to all the family members for making it there. Special thanks to the Reunion Committee, in particular:
Allen Mathis and Mary Drummond for coordinating the hotels, managing the budgets, keeping our thirsts quenched, setting up a wonderful breakfast, organizing dinner with a great menu, getting up at dawn to help prepare the Sunday bb-q with some of the best reunion food we've ever had, running countless errands, putting together lots of goodie bags and party favors and who can forget the homemade ice-cream. Yumm! AND
Robert Edward Thorn for helping emcee the party, shuttling people and food in every direction, helping with the reunion planning, being the best historian this family has as well as coordinating all the pictures, movies, films, slide shows and other visual efforts that would be lost without Robert Edward's efforts. Thanks RET! AND
Jakki Mathis-Hull (& Jim Hull) for coordinating the ornament/bracelet give aways and other give aways, creating the first Childs family GIANT crossword puzzle, recognizing the elders and providing each of them with a personal item as well as leading the efforts for the web-site and individual write-ups on the Childs children; AND
Terry, Cindy and Taylor Mathis for hosting a turkey dinner with all the trimmings for those who rolled into town early in the week, for facilitating the pig roast on Sunday and getting to the park at 4:00 a.m. so the pig would be done in time. Cindy, we hope you are ok after the bee sting; AND
Mary and Herbert Mathis and Catherine Thorn for hosting family members and providing delicious goodies for all; AND
Lennie Mathis for providing the "boom box" so we could have music. Its not a party without music; AND
Glen Mathis and family for filming the events; AND
Mara Fisher and Diane Fisher & Co. (and Mary) for coordinating the babysitting efforts and providing a much needed break for the parents wtih younger children. That was appreciated more than you know. Kudos!
Thanks to the entire family for driving others, pitching in as needed and coming to share in the love and spirit this family is known for. See you at the next one!
